15m for standard hand grenades. effective kill distance anyway. But shrapnel (fragments) can hit you past 250m if in an open field. In the military, we use kevlar helmets and kevlar vests (with ceramic composite plates for bullets) to handle fragmentation. Also, all soldiers usually wear ballistic eye protection (lvl 1A) for minor fragmentation from dirt/ rocks caused by explosions.
AS VAL Kalashnikov style weapon. Officially designated as a sniper rifle - it is more of a designated marksman's rifle with a max effective range of 300-400m. Chambered in 9x39mm round, this weapon system comes stock with an integrally suppressed barrel so every shot is very silent due to low muzzle velocity and large length suppressor. With a wide variety of armor piercing ammunition, this is the ideal weapon for short to mid-range engagements against armored or unarmored targets.
Um.. Water mixed with petrol burns WAY hotter than without....
AK-101 series. 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge chambering. Assault rifle. Submachine guns fire pistol cartridges. I'm absolutely enamored by the story but felt the correction was necessary. -A current soldier and private firearm owner

This should actually be step 5. A blade with a thin edge is more likely to warp while hardening and become difficult to fix down the process. There is also a much more increased chance of fractures in the metal occuring during this time if the metal edges are too thin as well. Ideally the process would be as follows; 1.Forging 2.Annealing 3.Refining the shape and final geometry 4.Hardening 5.Tempering 6.Grinding final edges and thickness of the blade 7.Finishing the handle, pommel, and assembling it all then giving the blade its final polish and luster Source; Just your friendly neighborhood blacksmith!

I find the development of Xavier as a more cavalier individual as opposed to his previously austere personality to be very interesting. The contrast is good, but development of it will have to be done very carefully - however seeing bits of the story from his perspective and inner monologue definitely helps create that nice smooth transition for us! Very good few chapters you put out! As always, we are very grateful for your writings and look forward to seeing what comes next!!
