I do like the series. the main character is a bit stupid but that is okay I suppose...my main issues are with the way he is tough on his enemies but a yes main for everyone else...please grow a pair. Also improving friends, lovers, family etc is important but you should never self sacrifice to boost them when you have a very real threat in "The master" who already has more classes then you. I really don't see how the main character is special to be honest I mean..with martial artist his grandfather, leavemealone and even several of his guildmates seem able to keep up if not surpass him..his only real claim to power is the extra levels he has. martial arts? John can keep up when he actually tries, leavemealone seems to outpace him, even Jeanne catches up quick..where is this skill his grandfather keeps talking about..plz help me understand here...otherwise it is an entertaining read, i just had a few small gripes
I like the story. I hate the main character quite honestly but gave the series a series shot and eventually started to like it a bit more later after I got used to the idea of him being an a****le. Figured alot of characters are like this now in novels. I like the fact that humans aren't completely innocent in this one unlike in alot of novels even if the author still went with ancient humans being a top species powerwise which honestly makes no sense biologically if you discount science but it is HIS world so I won't push it too much
Not too bad of a read. bad grammar can be fixed and from what I have seen so far there is apparently effort in regards to that later but the Mc....I don't know where to start...Trash...is probably the best word for him. No development at all. His personality. motivation and more are sub par at best and psychotic at worst. You would not want this Mc at your back tbh. I love the background of the world though
I love the background and think that it had alot of potential story wise...however the main character leaves alot to be desired. He is pretty much a two dimensional psycho. Too many books like this where the Mc is ONLY concerned with strength and is willing to be cold or dismissive of everyone else. I personally don't care about whether he has a 1,000 fenales or 1 so long as he is showing some emotional depth, improvement...something...I would assume that he is too dangerous as a human and needs to be put down even if he is very helpful too the cause. he is a worse monster then alot of the monster's and that is saying something from me who generally likes a rough Mc
If it wasn't for all the bro's in this paragraph I would 100%percent agree the Mc is an ass at best and it isn't just to supernatural but to the people that actual care even a little. He pretty much uses people, murders indiscriminately etc a real psycho...I would suggest that thus puppy gets euthanized...he has rabies
I really like this series my only compliant is that this guy is. .a complete wuss. .too many series where the main character has to hide and pretend to be weak and have little interest in female's. . it can get tedious. Again the plot, abilities and powers are great please don't think this compliant is anything but a small personal annoyance
I enjoyed reading what I have so far of this series after being a few hundred chapters in. The leveling is interesting as well as the the odd mix of power's. My only character complaint is that while being supposedly at the level of a super computer mentally he is emotionally a toddler or caveman throwing fits. Oh? you said something insulting to me? Let us try to kill each other now. ..
