Why do your troop numbers always change so wildly? He went from having 300,000 troops to having 30,000? Hardly the first time, as every major battle changes his numbers and deployments. Really bad writing

Excellent pacing; the character actually develops his tactics and technologies. he starts with a leg up, but he doesn't just automatically have these things; he has to actually develop then over time and employ through his knowledge. A fantastic plot. My only 2 complaints are that the characters don't feel as fleshed out as they could be, and the updating stability
