I believe that Klea would be the most likely to approach Shinta to join, but I don't think Klea would tell her about Emery and Silvia's backstory. A surprise move would be Annara telling Shinta she should join Emery's hall. I think a surprising unexpected twist would be the Oracle showing up telling Shinta that Emery and Shinta need each other, and also hinting at this being the reason she was persistent in Emery becoming an instructor.

As a first and emotional response, I would 100% agree with this idea. However if the council is directly affecting his store's ability to obtain materials and resources to make his potions, going that route could be suicidal to his business. Yes, Emery could set up shop elsewhere and continue to sell through the Magus Alliance shop, but how would he get supplies? All the council has to do is buy up all the supplies and materials like they did. Even if Emery creates new potion recipes, it will cost more and he will lose more on his contract with the Magus Alliance. If he went this route, all the Qins would have to do is get ahold of his new potion and restrict his access to the materials in the new recipe. Then the Qins and council members just rinse and repeat until they get their way. Welcome to Capitalism. Victoria Qin wanted to control Emery, but since he refused to accept their leash, they are forcing him to a 5 year term. I would love to see Emery put the Qins and the council in their place for this, but he isn't strong enough. The Earth Alliance isn't strong enough. If Emery accepted the Nephilim's offer of a title, the council or the Qins would have never done this and would have bent over backwards to please Emery. But we know that would have come with even more restrictions. It sucks, but long term, it was the best choice he could make on short notice.

No, I was expecting a scene like this. When Klea, Julian, and Emery were in Britain before going back to the magus academy, Klea was trying to make Emery emotional enough to decide who he wanted to be with by acting like she was getting close to Julian. My worst fear for Emery would be Klea following history and accepting Julian's advances after Klea and Emery have declared themselves for each other.

Dresden helped Emery split his soul. One for his Nature core that became his Magus core and one for his Darkness core, which Avans called a Pimal Stone after Emery became a magus. Delbrand mentions Emery's magus core was cracked, and no soul could be detected, but there is no mention of Emery's 2nd core. Since Avans said Magus core was cracked, I took that to mean his Nature core. When the 2 headmaster look at the body they mention a space aura which could mean his Darkness core. But then what happened to his other core? Did the High Elf survive and take it out of interest? Does Emery have two physical cores? Or, does he have one, but when sensing the energy, it appears as two separate cores? I want to know if the headmasters are referring to his Nature or his Darkness core.

I think it will be both the draon and Gaia that saves Emery. It was his Nature Magus core that broke. That will require Gaia to somehow fix. Then the dragon will pull Emery's core from the dimensional space where Emery hid and kept safe his other soul.

Unfortunately, there are still a few hundred years of Emery before Tristan comes into the picture.
