i think this would give a new upgradable carapace separate from this one. that would be useful.

That's just stupid! Would anything on Pangera be able to get through that?! Not to mention the cost efficiency. This is effectively giving me an entire new carapace without having to spend evolutionary energy on it! That's just madness!

    a titan-stone caterpillar sounds cool.

"What?" Grey snarled, snapping upright once more. "Expecting you to move faster than a titan-stone caterpillar is lacking patience? This is why father didn't entrust the sword-school to you, no decisiveness."

surely this would mainly apply to the natural gravity that is acting on him at all times due to being on the planet.

it's pretty disappointing to hear such a lame explanation for something that if properly explained would be mindblowing. imagine it Anthony's law in place of newton's law. I do understand he might be intentionally vague because he doesn't want them to know about his secret magic. but it is still dissatisfying.

[Look, gravity squashes stuff. More gravity, more squash. Let's leave it at that.]

I can't wait for the pets next evolution.

Tiny is still taller than me, but in terms of total mass, he's fallen far behind me for the time being, something that appeared to hurt his feelings. At least, he was sulking up a storm when I woke up, flexing quietly in a corner.

    I assume it's a magic shield but I can't be sure.

Rillik watched as the dense pack of mercs floated over the water on a shield toward land. He shook his head.

I'm really happy to see the shapers again. a great chapter.

The three nodded, though she suspected Garg had only followed a part of it. She really needed a tiny bit more brainpower in her next evolution.

it would be nice to have the queens' evolution name.the details of the queens evolutions are really interesting.

Ever since the queens had evolved to tier six, the demands on the workers had only increased. Patrols had been extended for kilometres in every direction to ensure the Dungeon provided enough food to fuel the nest.

I don't think it would be the same 'larval deity' evolution but a similar restart evolution where he has to go back to a first evolutionary state. like ant larva paragon +1 or something like that.

[I am more interested in discussing your new evolution. You decided to forgo the Larval Deity evolution? An interesting decision.]

I wonder what kind of ants will be used as the basis for the new ants. perhaps the bullet ants. strong venom in place of of the acid of our colony. ant wars are common in our world. I'm excited to see them between monster ant colonies

Good! Ants are the superior insect after all…. Except that ants are often each other's worst enemy. Wars between ant colonies are horrific, bloody conflicts with death and destruction on both sides. Some ants' primary food source is other ants!

i agreed. it wasn't a trap as Gandalf doesn't really care about Anthony as an individual. he's only interested in Anthony as part of the wider goals he's focused on. Gandalf appears to manage or observe the dungeon as a whole. the importance of any single individual is going to minor no matter who they are. it was high Risk and higher reward. it would have been really difficult but I think they could have succeeded with the full aid of the Cult and the mother tree. perhaps with more time to prepare defenses, incorporating Cult assets into the defense. I wonder if the seers would be alerted when anthony began evolving or after he evolved. it would likely take at least a month to gather the assets to attack the colony. with the mother tree right next door she'd be forced to defend the area near her. I think it could have been done. oh well the larval deity idea is dead. I just think it could have been a interesting story plot with the colony and it's allies holding off an epic siege of the legion and it's allies. and just when the legion was going to defeat the colony Anthony evolves to tier 8 and wipes them all out. if I had the money I'd pay for that story to be written.

[An evolution like that would surely have been picked up by the powerful Dungeon Seers located around the globe. I doubt you would have survived to reach tier eight.]

it's disappointing. I was so excited for the larval deity. it would have been awesome. and the next tier would have come so quickly. oh well perhaps the next tier will force him into a larval state.

I personally think the centipedes would for great pets. make them spell casters and have them ride on your back. combine powerful magic casters that can ride on a agility based monsters back, and you have fast repositioning artillery. imagine them on vibrant and her gangs' backs. they could move into position fire a brutal spell barrage and moving away as soon the spell was fired.

    This is a diamond centipede!

I'm interested to see how the termites develop without the lizards holding their chains. hopefully we'll get to see the lizard's thought process and how they went about creating the termites.

"No," Coolant says, unruffled. "Your successful evolution is the most important priority for the Colony. It will be months before rogue termite nests have grown enough to be any sort of threat."

to be honest. that'd be a good thing as far as the colony is concerned. an enemy to constantly fight and farm experience and biomass from. are the termites still 'soul eaters'? I think that part of them might have been changed to help them battle the ants.

If monstrous termites are similar enough to regular termites, that means any female worker can become a queen. They may not even need to evolve to start the process! Despite crushing this colony, we may have spawned another three or four smaller ones that will have to be put down later on. A distraction that we can't afford.

the gravity bomb acts like a black hole of sorts, consuming everything it touches and sucking in everything nearby into it. once sucked in, everything is compressed into a very tightly squeezed ball. shooting acid into it would be mostly pointless

Too bad this tunnel is far too narrow for a Gravity Bomb, otherwise I'd wipe them out in the thousands, but this is up close and personal, just the way an insect likes it.

it's strange that he'd use "hive-mind" as the descriptor considering he could have become an actual hivemind from a previous evolution option. I think "group mind" would a more accurate description

It basically is a hive mind at this point. I've got over a dozen mind constructs operating right now, each one capable of independent action. With further mutation and another evolution, that may well push to over thirty, or even fifty! Hive mind indeed.
