Even though it makes sense for the antag and protag roles to have reversed in this narrative because of mc’s interference, it still would have been nice for our ex-protagonist to have a more three dimensional character— as opposed to the simple, blind, un-substantial jealousy archetype

A very weird and slightly dystopian concept that a school would so obviously divide students based on wealth and not try to hide the blatant classism— though tbf this is a stereotypical novel setting so what can you really expect 😅 gotta set up that underdog scene for the protag

I absolutely adore this book. I love the healthy combination of action and romance, some of my favourite scenes being where Sol is almost dancing with death with the sharks— and it is all the more thrilling and exciting knowing who those sharks are. Sol is such a cool character, a breath of fresh air in BL novels especially where the protagonist is weak and scared. The relationship he has with the sharks is just soo intriguing as again, thrilling~ Looking forwar to where Sol finally puts the puzzle pieces together lol.

although most likely unintended, just got the vibes of the snake convincing Adam and Eve to eat an apple, that would be quite a pretty piece of symbolism in this scenario

I am seriously not a fan of this protagonist, he is the embodiment of some weird discord mod. Hoping to see genuine development that isn’t just carried on the back of him being reincarnated into a new body.
And Lucien belongs to this ugly men group women rolled their eyes upon. He shrugged. There's nothing he can do about that. He doesn't need a lover either. Anime! That's what he needs. Im pretty sure he’s talking about a slave, since their skin would have dirt on it or something, hence the “dirty skin”- considering the context its really not that hard to come to the conclusion he’s talking about a slave, not a specific skin colour.
Aster had many questions about this, but he refrained from asking too many questions. Last time he asked his dad about Uncle Thomas who married a dirty-skinned woman, hadn't visited their mansion for more than two years, he was scolded for asking an adult question.
