i would agree with the author that it is human path because the only ones capable of having it are humans and variant humans. and it is even said that variant human have way less of it on average than humans. my guess is because they are not completely human. so i think its human path

because having surpreme attainment in a path means knowing literally everything there is to know about a singular Path. He degrades to quasi-surpreme because he doesnt know about death refinement

i mean, Fang Yuan just sees venerable cultivation level as a small step to eternal life. he views it as If its natural because its his ultimate goal, although in the grand scheme of the gu world except when he gets the sorveign Immortal aparture hes really just a minor character, so i think its a not so far of dream
