Of course everyone needs a motive or a pushing factor to do things. Like why do you go to school everyday? It's because you want to get a better job in the future. Same here, why does he want to industrialize his town despite that fact that he only lived in this town for just one day? It just feels forced.
Okay I've caught up to the last chapter which is chapter 87 and I think it's time for me to do a review. Writing Quality...I'll give it a five despite it having small errors because the author correct them immediately when a reader pointed it out which is a good habit I must say because other author's won't even correct their mistake. Stability of Updates: 5/5 on this one. The author updates 2 chapters daily and the consistency is what it's making it rise to prominence. Story Development: The story is progressing smoothly albeit technology ambition of the mc is advanced for that world. However...the good thing is that the mc is building a foundation for that technology to be built...which is a plus. If I were to think of an advice, I'd say to reduce the jargons because it makes some readers sleepy. Just a simple analogy or 1 paragraph will do when emphasizing the idea. Character Design. I love all the characters and I wish the author will explore them one by one because they have potential to do something big in the story. The Volume 1 was introduction and Volume 2 is modern tech introduction...which is the selling point. I hope in volume three we get to explore each of the characters so that we readers can understand them further. Personally, I'd want to see why Tiffania acting tsundere in front of Alexander... World Background. Since this is an historical fantasy genre, expect some alterations and similarities of the events here in this story with the real history. The story took place at 1920s but the technology are ten years ahead...so basically a world with 1930s tech. How did this world have technology similar to pre WW2 tech without ww1 happening? Well don't rationalize...it's just fiction.
I think author's preference plays a huge part on the decision making here. Granted it's obvious that the author isn't a military geek and possibly doesn't have time to research everything because of the frequency of the update. As for the inability of the crew, I think training and education will solve that. That's all,
I believe they were surprised here and before they could react, Karim got to them first.
I can say the same thing but it's okay since the author isn't an expert in martial arts. I'd say that compared to other novels in webnovel, this one got it right in the technique, especially the mount reversal.
We don't know the intention of the mc yet, if he wants to keep in power or not, but I'm not entirely sure about the constitution part. Yes they modeled it after the british but doesn't entirely mean they are the same. The king holds the executive power, meaning he is the chief of the armed forces, or the president of the empire. That doesn't how it works in the british right?
The MC beyond stupid? Are you sure about that? You say the mc is stupid yet fails to back it up with proof. I don't see his political reforms stupid because mc doesn't have much a choice. If he were to keep the power to himself and didn't listen to the people, there I can call mc stupid. You read too much medieval fictions where you romanticized centralize government with the mc as its center.
Whiskey 2-1 to Kirov I copy, proceeding with caution.
I concur. According to author, this world is at Pre WW2 era, or the 1930s. Assuming that's the case, superpowers are building a more advanced weaponry that we often see in WW2. If the mc wants to best that, he must built a Montana class superbattleship, Midway class supercarrier, Des Moines Class cruiser, and a fletcher class destroyer. If he has those in his navy, no country would ever pick a fight with him. Well it all depends on his crew.
Stupid? If this mc is stupid, I don't know who is. Author has point, the situation in the country before he took over is precarious and has to do something or else the status he is holding on might lose to the revolutionaries that will use the inactivity of the Emperor to inspire band the people to revolt. And suggesting that he should use the way how China rose to power? I think that is the most stupid suggestion you could've ever make. First of all, China is a communist state, it's different from Ruthenia Empire. Secondly, did you even know how many people died during the great leap? I'm sure you are aware about the famine, collectivizing farmers where if they don't' reach quota, they won't get to eat? Third, they ruled with iron fist...controlling every people so that they can keep to their power? Mc is not that kind of person who is greedy and hungry for power. He is progressive leader who wants to make change to make his country better with his people together. Heck I could even see the end of this novel where the MC will give up power and make the country a full-pledged democracy and retire. Of course the author can't just info dump, that would ruin the immersion as the author would be feeding us with expositions. it take progress. Not to mention that the book is at still 36 chapters, considering that most novels reach 500 to 1000 chapters, I think it's too early for you to say the mc is stupid, which is outright ridiculous. I think you've read too many kingdom buildings that is set in medieval ages because what you're suggesting would work there, but not in the modern world where liberalism. You can rule with fear but if it fails, it will fucking blow up to your face.
Guys, I don't know if the Author already mentioned this but did you know that Alexander Romanoff full title is “We, Alexander the Second, by the grace of God, Emperor and Autocrat of all the Ruthenia, of Moscow, Kiev, Vladimir, Novgorod, Tsar of Kazan, Tsar of Astrakhan, King of Poland, Tsar of Siberia, Tsar of Tauric Chersonesos, Tsar of Georgia, Lord of Pskov, and Grand Duke of Smolensk, Lithuania, Volhynia, Podolia, and Finland, Prince of Estonia, Livonia, Courland and Semigalia, Samogitia, Białystok, Karelia, Tver, Yugra, Perm, Vyatka, Bulgaria, and other territories; Lord and Grand Duke of Nizhny Novgorod, Chernigov; Ruler of Ryazan, Polotsk, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Beloozero, Udoria, Obdoria, Kondia, Vitebsk, Mstislav, and all northern territories; Ruler of Iveria, Kartalinia, and the Kabardinian lands and Armenian territories; hereditary Ruler and Lord of the Cherkess and Mountain Princes and others; Lord of Turkestan, Heir of Norway, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein, Stormarn, Dithmarschen, Oldenburg, and so forth, and so forth, and so forth."
I'm getting concerned of this mc's feeble body. Does he have a disease or something? You say Berengar has a weak constitution and for that case, can't marry. There must be something happening inside his body
You have to be careful men. You are aware that your brother is trying to kill you so do something...
Full body exercise would do just fine. You don't need to build those yet. Just improvise, carry a rum or something
Okay thanks for the info
Ludwig is a commoner? Where did he go to school?
