Great theory, but frankly I think otherwise. I believe that it is in fact the opposite, through hearing a certain amount of players guessing MC to be a NPC it uses this thought like how your daily news article does, put a super eye catching click bait. But the biggest hole in your theory is the fact that the system doesn’t doesn’t even recognize it’s own property, you’re telling me a system capable of updating in real time and adapting can’t tell whether a character is part of its system or a player. Now unless I missed main point of your analysis, it remains flawed in my eyes
