He might do it to himself by accident or just out of impatience. He is in a grey zone, his family won't actually acknowledge hom, he is too young to prove himself a capable warrior/leader. He can't prove himself by bonding with a dragon, he might actually die from trying to force a bond or going to battle or expidition to either Westeros or Old Valyria. He could by himself claim himself a Blackfyre and stride for the Golden Company but why would he in this timeline.

Why would he NOT give it someone else, he can turn into black smoke in an instant. He doesnt need a dagger or a knife to kill an assassin trying to off him. But his lover(s) most certainly do.

Golden Company is famously known for their Blackfyre ties. It was founded by mamber of the Blackfyres. No way they would follow a Targ over a Blackfyre, the whole point is they "need" a Blackfyre to seem legit.
