Thinking more about it, Ves's only option is to join the cosmopolitans. With the Polymath as the empress of the Mech Kingdom, no where in human space is safe so long as he has the Mech Designer System. This means he, and his clan, must willingly cut themselves off or be forcefully cut off of the Mech Kingdom.Luckily, as was alluded to who knows how many chapters ago, he can bring other people into his Mech Design System, essentially allowing him to build his own Mech Kingdom. From what I remember, it never restricted him to only humans.Maybe a combination of two other plans, deep strike and diplomacy, is in order. Allowing the cosmopolitans to shepherd his fleet into alien space and riding a few of the stealth ships to regroup. The Xenobioligist is alluded to have contact with the cosmopolitans and he can contact his fleet using Goldie or any other mech design spirit.
These chapters get us closer to understanding what the Mech Design System is. It could have been a training tool for the earliest mech designers to get a boost in their design abilities. No doubt the Kingdom of Mechs was created from a piece or the majority of the metal scroll
Assuming this is how memories are attached; every one has a true name. How does one read their true name without the weave?
This makes me curious on what True names are. With this paragraph, True names seem to not be given by the Weave, but instead the knowledge of your True name is given to you by the Weave. This begs the question, how does the Weave know your True name? Does everyone have a True name and just aren't qualified of knowing it?
I have a feeling that it's not just the body of a person that the weave takes into account, but the circumstance of a person that has been written into the weave. I think Sunny will be a slave in the 2nd nightmare and his requirement for beating the 2nd nightmare will require him to stay as a slave or to save his master from a revolution.
