I think purifying his bloodline was more about increasing his affinity to magic. If you consider it to be important, then his bloodline would have to be far superior to even Rowena Ravenclaw. Meaning what i said before would still apply. The potion he drank was likely made from the source of magic itself. It doesnt really effect him genetically, but more likely about his magic compatibility. Possibly more his soul than literal blood.
Knowing that he wouldn't get in trouble today for it Nick openly left the common room to walk around the castle to soak in it's sights for the last time in a long time. Ah yes, a single week to fully master your strength and powers. Very believable
During this past week, Peter found out that he could enhance his already ridiculous powers with exercise. Though because of his already crazy level of strength, that exercise is something that would flatten the best bodybuilder in seconds. He also has his powers completely under control at this point. Even if Muggle tech would be able to defeat the wizards, that doesnt mean equality on an individual level.

That's a pretty big difference... Hate to say it, but equality only works if people really are equal. Or if the differences are so small, that they're negligible. Magic can hardly be considered small.

Hunger is basically impossible since they literally have a spell that can multiply any food they cast on it. A single apple can be turned into 1000 apples. Same goes for any dish. One spell that can literally end world hunger.
