I live to write and share. Fanfictions on webnovel, and original works under pseudonyme d'elfe as a contractor. I am also a published author in France, http://www.delfyne-gwenn.fr/index.php/fr/

She is moderately skilled because she ended up fighting twice as a gladiator. But it's still not enough to master a sword, and the gladius is using very different techniques as well.
Good catch ! My scenario had changed so much that I forgot to remove this one. The fact is that she didn't :) Thank you for pointing it out. Hopefully, the rest has been smoothed out properly.
Typical Mulder naïveté here... he's insufferable, right ?
I didn't understand what you meant here, I admit.
maaaaaaaybe ?
OK. I get what you say. That novels are not the same quality as published work on webnovel. You should probably know that the author requested pointers on the forum, and that's why I spent time giving her professional advice in the first place. Hence my remark on the 'show don't tell'.
So you mean to tell we that the 'Show don't tell' principle is an occidental principle and that Asian cultures prefer the 'tell don't show ?'. I'm genuinely curious. And genuinely surprised as well. I'd be curious to read a published Asian author, but unfortunately I'd have to read it translated :'(
Thank the Gods men evolved in the meantime ! :D
You definitely should. Bergen is THE place to see. I think I depicted it in 'Stage Fright', chapter 9 - freedom, mostly. https://www.webnovel.com/book/stage-fright_19074257706310705 I lived here for a few years and damn, it was beautiful !
Yes, I could feel that, and am left wondering. Good job in your part !
Informal writing it very different from exposure issues. Perhaps this is how you write and you like it that way.
That's a notion unheard of in Europe. So I point it out to let her/him know. So, in general, I get that you don't agree with me. I comment to help, because I'm a published author. I've been through the process, and learnt from my editor. I'm sorry if you feel offended by my tips, but I don't see the point of you commenting on another one's post. If the author wants to get back to me, I'm all right with it. If you are going to counterattack every single one of my suggestions, I'm not so sure it's going to help anybody.
You get me wrong. It's not that it's irrelevant, it's the manner of exposure. The show don't tell principle that you will find detailed on the net.
From the picts mostly.
Well, if you go on reading to the end you'll find that info but it's always interesting to know that Sarmatian tribes literally revered their women. All those populations that lived in very harsh conditions knew the importance of half their population. Some mothers were warriors, and buried in their grave with their weapons. Others were shamans, or healers. And mostly, they had strength of character. There are traditions where women were the ones who chose their husbands, not the other way around. It's very very different from the way Romans treated their women. They had literally no rights. So, all the better for Isolde !
Ok. Tristan is, he saved her son's life. I'll look into it. Thanks
