Wait a minute.wait a minute.waitaminute. Didn't Riftan challenge what's his name jerk face general from wherever to a duel for insulting Maxi. Riftan seemed genuinely scared for Maxi before they went to the plateau in case something happened to him. Then there's the temple knight guy that he's CLEARLY jealous of. Riftan knows Maxi is a hot commodity maybe he's feeling insecure because Maxi didn't initially choose to be with him and she doesn't necessarily need to stay with him now because of all the other options cropping up. Either way I wish they would both say, 'I love you' at the very least. It's important for both of them to know their affection isn't based on a need for social or financial security, or physical attraction alone. Like 'if I could do this all over again, I'd still choose you' type of thing.
we all know what's going to happen
For all of those in a book hole until UTOT updates again, I highly recommend, 'Stolen by the Rebel King.' It is written really well. The characters are captivating and funny with enough tension between them that keeps their relationship interesting. Though I'm not far in, the story is intriguing. I'm crossing my fingers I don't find any cliche plot lines or character development, but again I think it's worth a try. Happy Reading!✌️
Hey Suji Kim, I'm really excited to read more of this story. I love the strife between Riftan and Maxi, and how it keeps me on my toes. Despite their challenging relationship, I can't help but keep rooting for them. I've also loved that we are being introduced to more types of fantasy species in book two, it's really cool. It's also great to watch Maxi's confidence grow. Many thanks! Keep up the good work. 🫶
