I know Maxi is building her trust, but her internal dialogue is showing her weakness; if only she could be true to herself, she’d fine peace with herself and in her marriage.

A better expression should have been used then a puppy after a master’s call; very weak pros for Maxi’s character development

I want to believe as Maxi trusts Riftan more she’ll tell him more of her story; let’s hope he doesn’t do anything stupid to her horrible father. I find it odd that Riftan doesn’t know how good looking he is. As a knight in training or before he defeated the Red Dragon, he would have been teased about his handsomeness.

Interesting read so far. Maxi’s inter dialogue as she getting to know her husband and world around her is very relatable.
