what if (just a random thought) he thinks Quinn is dead and died 10 years ago, which is why his eyes are watering up and thinks Peter is traveling alone or questioning his newfound travelling partner which he trusts so much

she was injured my graham,Graham was part werewolf and a werewolves claws halt the healing process of vampires, she was gravely injured and just drinking a bit of blood wouldn't heal her, she needed the second family's ability to heal. Minny was turned so she would survive longer since vampires can go without blood and age slowly.

A cherry blossom tree? again?
