Author, I believe you when you say that we will be enthralled in later chapters, but this child should have been introduced way before now. What happened between she and Anthony should have been explained before this section. What dark at? From what's been written, she's not accomplished what her peers have accomplished due to financial problems and taking care of her aged parents. I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense unless you address it at the beginning and then proceed with the story.
She looked at her watch. It's time to pick up her five-year-old boy at school. So, she decided to pick him up first and bring him along to meet Anthon. Anyway, he could not care less about the child, and there was no way he would find out. - GWEN2yrCommented

I did the same thing because the book was so engrossing, I couldn't put it down! This was when I was a child as well as an adult. However, now I'm so impatient that I'll skip ahead just to see what has happened!

All I can say is that this author is an excellent writer, articulate, innovative in regards to her plot. She has captured the essence of grief, regret, ride and arrogance, yet the sensitivity of this man as a father is so beautifully portrayed. Not only as a father either but as a son-in-law and a husband. She realizes that she is blessed to have him. Author, you have a gift of capturing the essence of the many roles we play in life: mother, father daughter/son, child/adult, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed this one chapter as if it were an entire novel. Thank you for giving us an inside view of the life of this unique family.

On our way to my class, some students give us weird looks. Probably thinking 'what did he look at her' I just bent my head down because I do not use with this attention. Author, why is she also so dense? I'm sorry Author, but unless this weak, dense stupid girl gets some assertiveness about her, I'm out. I hate reading about weak people who don't even attempt to defend themselves. Besides, she's been bullied for three years and has never, not once stood up for herself! Second, how unfortunate for me to be in the same class as her. She means that is Jessica's best friend or should I say her second in command.
