Wait but why would u feel sad. If the one quality that sets her apart from the other 2 is her desire to go back home, why would Rey chose to stay with someone who would leave him. Therefore the future where she desires to stay by his side would mean her 1 quality that makes her apparently worse than the others is gone so why be sad?

Tyftc I def can say this chapter seems to foreshadow Rey’s existence his duties to the world. Basically how Rey views his world as the strongest, he prob will also rope in the expectations of the worlds will after his lil trip to the oracle possibly, either way I can def see how the conversation with both Lucielle and his long inner monologue are important for the future, but tbh the title Is kinda misleading 😭😭🙏

Understandable, btw your point about Alicia being the tragic heroine I do agree with that in some sense, but truthfully all that can be solved by having Alicia grow in character. Rn or ig a few chapters ago we could clearly see that Alicia was ready to take her life if it was by chance to be with Rey again she even strengthened her resolve by deluding her self that everything would end and she would go back to earth with Rey etc, this was very unstable thinking, just as much Esme has become. Hopefully mage does something with Esmes character aswell as Alicia’s character growth after realizing she is to weak to even do anything and that Dagon killing her classmates and thousands of people would be heavily influence her future thoughts, but I genuinely don’t want to watch Alicia become some empty husk of a character who’s only quality is to blame Rey, she has a right too ofc but that would ruin everything developed until now. Esme is also intresting she was even willing to attempt to kill Rey had he ever done that outbreak of emotion ever again, her philosophy is pretty flawed but I def wanna see what mage does with her aswell. Other than that I think all possible candidates for FL are practically all flawed and I love that, I want Alicia to grow up from her lil hopefulness of being able to go back to earth because that’s probably not a possibility, like higher beings descending to a lower realm especially where there suppose to be dead😭😭 thanks for your reply I’m still a heavy Alicia fan but I don’t want to see her character get thrown away, and Esme feels more like a close friend making luceielle the only possible person I can see bc of their past life and deep connection between the two it seemed like, but if it’s here she better be developed correctly but introducing her 562 chapters later as a FL is also pretty much a stretch 😭😭

Then again he brought it to himself when he wasn’t thinking abt what would potentially happen if he just slayed a random dragon commander who is legit in a country that cannot kill dragon commanders. Dagon would always be a problem but if he was just a bit more cautious about the right things most of this coulda been avoided.

BEAUTIFUAL all that’s required is Rey to win and with a win will give Rey growth. If Rey doesn’t become serious abt every possible issue that has the smallest chances of happening then ima be sad to see Rey not growing up from this experience 😨😭
