Yeah, I think youāre reading way too much into it. The friend seems like a pretty average girl, to be honest. Also itās confirmed in the next chapter who took the money, and I seriously doubt she or her family could have hacked into Yuanās account at the time the money was taken.

In Chinese folklore vampires and zombies are combined as a creature called jiangshi, basically undead corpses that hop around and suck the life force from their victims. Since this is a fantasy cultivation world, the western concept of blood-sucking vampires is still viable of course š
