He had shown both mental issues and moments of wisdom beyond what is typical of kids his age would show. Honestly i haven’t read this novel in a long time since i wasn’t the biggest fan of where the MCs personality was going so i’m only speaking from foggy memory.

And i’d argue that it’s worse when they’re teenagers. Without bringing in things like drugs and alcohol i’d say teenagers are far more prone to violence than old people.

I believe it’s both a behavioral and age problem, for his supposed mental maturity he was really childish. He showed wisdom when planning things but he’d also show immaturity. That’s why i hate when stories say stuff like “XX years old in an XX year old body” it gives it so much inconsistency.
