I’m slow in discovering this book and this is likely a long rant. At this point I don’t like where I am.. all these drop hints that Bai Lei is not seemingly what he portrays to be and the suspicions on him. I refused to think he would be hiding anything that would put Nova in harm’s way. His previous mannerism of trying to hide his red eyes and status from Nova because he was afraid of scaring her away. He wants her by his side. He let her go the first time after he asks if she would go back with him to his world while they were on Earth. He never had the intention of using Nova as a “weapon” against Under Realm even after knowing what she can do. If anything he did never want to expose her directly to danger, rather, protect her at all costs. She had no powers whatsoever when she first landed (how can you use someone when they are useless?) and even then he was intrigued, wanted to keep her etc. If the blood lady in her dreams is indeed referring to him as Bai Lei, I’d like to think that with all the shit going on, Nova was seriously injured/temporarily left his world and couldn’t go back/someone faked her death and Bai Lei went on a killing rampage in the Realms over the loss. One is not a ruler of a Kingdom named Demonic and remains a saint. Even a ruler of Heavenly Realm is not a saint. I hope this faith of mine doesn’t disappoint me in the end. I dislike Lei Wei. He desperately wants to paint Bai Lei as a villain but hello? - Bai Lei never once said he is an Angel, he simply fell hopelessly in love with a human. Not forgetting the conversation Lei Wei had with his own shadow guard previously, Lei Wei was waiting for the Under Realm’s barrier to fully break. He may claim to love Nova, but I read it more as he just see it as a competition, a means to get back at Bai Lei, a stepping stone in wanting to control someone who he knows is becoming more powerful. In some ways he reminds me of Eli. Both wants to isolate Nova.

I feel tired for Nova already. There is really a lot of “bugs”.

I like how she seems to be all set thinking Tristen SHOULD never be able to move on from her - for life. Best friend, indeed. I’m looking forward to when people actually realises her kind of selfish thoughts.

While I can see that Tristen has his flaws as a person, I love the fact that Grandpa Lu pointed out some of Tristen’s strengths like being independent from an early age, never raising his voice against elders even in arguments. His image reputation as CEO maybe upside down, but in earlier chapters it is said he does bring sales to the company. Why do I feel that in the long run, Tristen might not actually care about the CEO’s position as much as he thought he would? It feels he wants to keep it for now because his rival is Andrew. It would be like Andrew took everything from him - woman, career, family. But once Tristen realizes that not all is lost? That he might enjoy the bliss in simplicity like Zhen-zhen? He wanted to venture into photography. He could probably even start up his own studio, projects and be a boss in his own photography company? Of course there’s still little things that tags at my heart. The fact Zhen-zhen’s identity as Lillie is a lie. Or that guardian warriors’ Leader followed her through the portal 💔😭

Might..... Alex have something to do with the death of Abi’s mum? .. The suspense and all the secrets sure is getting to me at this point. Been unlocking chapters with $$ and not one of these chapters has any slightest clue to revealing anything about each of them all while the frustrations of reading one nice moment about this couple only to have something else contradicts it after, it’s actually so damn hurtful for them.
