Obviously he's no Saint, but he's at least doing his best for a group of people that has no direct benefit for him. Even all of the information they've given him is something he could have learned on his own in situ if need be. I can tell that your writing style is becoming more and more distinct- characters all have unique voices, background details are made relevant, and nothing feels like it's totally new and unheard of information, just things that we as readers missed. If you are a reader, go back to C1 and reread it. There are so many bits of foreshadowing that I didn't notice until my second go through!

This chapter reminded me so much of why I prefer this book over most of the others. Random_writer's style can pack some truly emotional punches, and it feels like all the little bits of info we've been fed throughout the buildup comes to a head. I'm already anxious tor the next chapter, and excited for the rest of the story.

The word here is "hoarse" instead of "horse". Hoarse means raspy, like if you had a sore throat, while horse is the animal. Also, I absolutely love this story!!
