I’ a little confused about how soulmates and cruxes work. I thought some of the other princes had their crux - did they meet their soulmate? And the father has several concubines and children - did he never find his soulmate or have his crux? Thanks!!m
On the bright side, Marianne would be promoted as the prince's concubine, and she wouldn't have to sleep with any more random men who entered the court or to please the king's guests. She would wear expensive clothes and jewels. She wouldn't fall to the lower rank once she grew old. But on the downside, she wouldn't be able to receive anyone's love, and her life would be shallow.
