Overall a pretty good story I only have 3 gripes here is 1. The lack of stakes when the MC started getting industrial Era tech and the challenge just drops to practically nothing this could have been remedied by having these rare times where the opposing nation narrowly managed to escape from the jaws of defeat and pull a costly win like with Vietnam or Algeria better yet have a rival reincarnator introduced early and to show there rise to become a major player on the same continent for example you could have had a rival reincarnator in Britain or Russia that would have kept a level of both actual competition and tension instead of constantly using the church as a punching bag 2. The supernatural aspects could have been introduced much earlier like the gods and other supernatural creatures there could have been some level of Sci fi explanation like why not make them into energy based beings that feed on energy like how we matter based beings feed on matter and an explanation on why they wanted to be worshiped and acknowledged so much and the idea is the gods and supernatural creatures could have gained there ego from feeding on humans since humans generate energy those energy beings would at some point feed on humans the only energy source at the beginning and abundance would be solar so they would be blank slates until the rise of life on earth and they would have fed on bio energy from humans which would give them an identity and the energy they consume from there followers could effect there minds like how certain types of plants can change a person's behavior and as for an explanation on there powers and magic in general since there energy beings they could be able to manipulate electromagnetism which can influence gravity, strong, and weak forces which are fundamental forces of the universe so they could practically do whatever they want as long as they have the necessary energy and as for the soul and afterlife thing that could be calked up the gods experimenting with time and space using gravity to extract the memory data of the reincarnators and the afterlife that could be the gods keeping the memory data of those they claimed in themselves like how cells store nutrients 3. If you do your research the US is a flawed democracy and is not the best example of what democracy could be if you look at the Nordic countries who are true democracies.
