Sure, you could. However this kid is not a skilled thief. He barely has started doing crime. Clearly, he is just pickpocketing random people who look like they have lots of cash then justifying it in a rather disgusting show of immorality.

You should go check your childhood home and see if it had used lead infused paint in the rooms.
