3 chapters for nothing to happen except getting dressed and arriving at the ball. Makes no sense the way these chapters are set up.

This is exactly why the writer keeps cutting every chapter so short and in mid conversation. They want you to get bored and buy it.

I agree! Trying way too hard to end chapters and make story long. Seems more annoying than suspenseful.

Chapters are way too short. You should at least finish an ongoing activity or conversation.
