A writer who will not put women into common roles. If you are looking for traditional Female Lead happy endings i.e. babies and marriage, then my books will most likely be a no-go for you.

ugh, I hate that she's pregnant. Why do people think having a child and the process of it is romantic? It's not! Let the two lovers' relationship develop and grow strong before bringing a kid into the picture. Let them have time to just be with eachother before they bring something that will need all of their care and attention. I mean, seriously, how is the latter romantic or erotic for that matter? Is this almost the end of the book at least?
Darnit, I was really hoping they'd get time together alone before kids entered the picture. Better yet, it'd be nice if they remained childfree! I know, I know. Not a lot of authors cater to the childfree narrative, but it'd be nice! well, this story has been so fun and exciting up until now. I truly hope the author writes a Zeke and Alicia spin off. They are such interesting characters. And for godsakes, can we get a childfree romance? Just once? Pretty please with a cherry on top? I promise I'll never ask again.
Wow, this sucks. She threw away one opportunity to be powerful, missed the second opportunity, and now she's under Micah? LOL. This author does not like Katelina. She's made her stupid, superficial, irrational, and weak. Well, I guess I'll continue to read for Jorick and Samael. Annoying that this is all written Katelina's perspective. I've given up on her becoming a powerful female lead.
I am hoping she gets turned by Samael! Talk about a powerful female lead. I know this is not going to happen, but it'd also be nice if she fell in love with Samael. But that's asking a lot. at the very least, I hope she gets turned by Samael and then can stand aginst him as Jorick's equal instead always being the weak, squealing female lead.
Katelina is such an immature, stupid, and superficial character. It's hard to like her. And with Jorick being over 600 years old, it's hard to believe that an attraction has lasted between them this long without him wanting to dump her a few times. LOL Hoping Katelina's character growth at least includes a little more brains. If you chose to be a part of this crazy, dangerous vampire world, then you gotta be smart and listen to Jorick. I can already tell she's about to get in trouble in the next chapter all because she doesn't want the guard to see some undies. Hmmm, death or undies? It's not a difficult choice, Kately!
Oh, wow! I wonder how Lucy will take the news. She's been lied to and manipulated by so many people that are supposed to love her -- Calhoun/Theodore, Her Parents, Her Husband, Her cousins, etc... I can't imagine she'll stand against Calhoun, but I can't imagine her joining any one side since she's been kept in the dark by everyone. Lucy may just need to get a divorce and go on a long trip by herself to find herself. LOL
bwahahaha, Calhoun is so evil and funny. He's too smart. I wonder what his challenge will be. Will it be Maddie herself? Usually an invincible character such as Calhoun is taken down by the one he loves, because that's who makes the invincible character weak. Although, I don't think Maddie will hurt or do anything to Calhoun, but she may test him or challenge him in a way others have not been able to. I am so anxious to know what Maddie is.
Poor James. I understand, though. If someone killed my parent, or forced me into a marriage, I'd fight like heck, even if my enemy is 10 times more powerful than me. I like James, and I truly hope he can overcome his dad's death, his unrequited love with Maddie, and this forced marriage, and find true happiness elsewhere.
I secretly hope that Maddie is able to develop Calhoun's character by getting mad at him. While I understand his obsession for her, it's unrealistic that Maddie should be so accepting of evrything he has done -- troubled past or not. I hope she genuinely gets angry at Calhoun for what he's forced upon James and it backfires on Calhoun and forces him to think about his manipualtive and cruel actions. Not saying Calhoun has to completely change. Being a pureblooded vampire, there are some aspects of his cruel character that will just not change as it is apart of their nature and how they were raised. But hurting and puppeting innocent people's lives should cause Maddie some pause. I hope she shows him a little fire and anger and sass, which would also show development i her character as well. I wonder how that will go if she does stand up to Calhoun!
