If you actually pay attention, every other X factor at C range came with decencies in Cost, Deviance, or Performance. Also this was a test of hypothesis anyway to be able to consistently state at C range instead of getting Fs and Es

Bc more skills you know the more you can refine the same materials. If my Wooden sword is enchanted +5 and yours can only enchant to +3 we got the same material w different stats

What it really means is that X Factor potentially can play a role since the AI can learn. Basically Ves will probably lose the first 10-15 then go on a crazy run after and win by like 1 fight

I honestly feel like it’s relating the X-Factor to how human the mech is. Adding gender or at least in the F2s situation purposely having a feminine design added to it

Basically opening up a small amount of space created a dominos effect
Ves kind of treated his design the same way. The energy cells didn't take up a lot of space, but removing a chunk of them still freed up 5% of the mech's internal volume. After a nerve-wracking day of playing plumber, Ves finally reached the end stage of the assembly. He spent a much more leisurely time putting the armor plates together. Sometimes the improper cabling caused the plates to fail to adhere in its position. Ves sometimes had to hammer the problem areas lightly in order to cram the pieces of armor in their place. It proved the parts he fabricated were of substandard quality.
