I’d argue their protectors are at fault too, they could have also done it (as they agreed with Roan’s logic too) and did not. Roan clearly was being spiteful in not doing it himself when Rean was like “don’t make her” to prove a point that it was a mistake to NOT kill him. Not really A “stupid (sub)plot” from Roan’s POV moreso just he’s being arrogant and ridiculous but for the rest its quite a dumb decision to not do it or have someone other than her do it.

Neither. If she or Rean wasn’t going to do it, Roan should have did it anyways. That group probably killed others before anyways and it would save the world some trouble. Maybe even gave them some destiny points 😂
