There is truth in these words that some feel that way. Yet the mind should know positive from negative. The biggest disappointment would be the fact he did it seemingly from fear of change vs the fact of a life of pain. The devil you know seemed better in his mind then the possibility of a better life. This seems like a general game worl but the elements in here do give me more energy to read more. Its interesting to see how each person seems more rounded out besides the npcs the mc doesn't seem overwhelming or op for now.

Unfortunately after the first 100 years it would be a huge investment to grind something like wisdom as to avoid the potential for insanity. Delaying the enviable sleeping to forget just enough would help as well.
