Read books
Writing quality: easy to comprehend. Stability of Updates: once, twice a week. Not bad! Story development: The first book is a bit too jumpy. The second one is pretty good. Not draggy, but not jumpy. The authors emphasize more on the history part instead of the romance part. Character design: Yue Maiden's character is a bit too flat and not too many descriptions about her. Ying's part is well written. The author implies her characters not through a description; but through her childhood story. She had a tough problematic life with her mother that shaped her characters. World Background: the author has her own way in describing the background. Yue Maiden who lived in a stilt house, the slavery that was common in that era; girls who were sold to brothels or as slaves; etc. Not too descriptive, but informative enough.
oh noooooooooo!
awful woman!! Poor Ying didn't even realize it!
She's not afraid of a knife, but why was she so timid when dealing with the guy she liked?
oh wait....the queen said that Ying was more beautiful if compared to the other girls! [img=recommend]
She wants to be a king, and not a king's concubine! LOL
Different kinds of beauty. Now is summer, and I miss winter and snow. I will pick up Ying then!
a*********ww
Interesting point!
her father's dream comes true!
what a tough life for women to live in that era
