Sunny tried to imagine what would happen if the two Transcendents clashed. The mental image of a giant thunderbird being swarmed by a vast whirlwind of black crows in the dark skies was… truly an awesome one. Who would win? He was not sure. So, nitrogen is the most abundant element in the air, and breathing it at high compression of water builds nitrogen in your system. This is because your body doesn’t eliminate nitrogen as quickly as it does CO2, so he WOULD have needed to ascend slower, as tough as he is, all that pressure on his joints and body woulda killed him, the fact that Guilty added this in is just a great nod to their attention to detail.
Luckily, the killer whale seemed to be moving much slower as they ascended from the depths. That, most likely, was done for the benefit of Sunny and Naeve — even though they were Masters, they were still fundamentally humans. Pretty soon, his suspicion was confirmed. The enemy seemed to possess an Aspect related to blood. His first Ability allowed him to ignite it, and the second increased his strength and speed the more he bled.
