In my opinion not providing an adequate reward would on sour the relationship with someone who just accomplished something that not even the most powerful and knowledgeable healer on their planet could seems like a bad idea because if it was me I’d turn them down the next time they needed me to heal or help anyone from their organization

I disagree just the knowledge he receives alone is extremely Valuable. and that’s not even counting the fact no other organization can harm him now like they did before. He may not receive physical resources as much but having access to everything else the academy offers is essential for his development
The Teacher is extremely prepared with the resource she had given; I would not have to worry about the resources anymore even if I have to break through to the king.
