Just another of your common reader, that has some great ideas that wishes to write in a book, but he is too coward for that, it may put too much pressure on him he says.

Slavery is not illegal in some cases, the US 13th amendment explicitly states, "slavery is illegal unless it's as punishment for a crime"

Not only does that not make sense, its also contradicted by the fact by the end of the same conversation its said the mc is literally hearing the conversation

A second voice responded, "I didn't choose him; his universe chose him and directed him towards us. I've chosen many before, but they lost their awareness and dissolved into nothingness. His gods had destined him for greatness, but he was...hmm...an agnostic—a blessed atheist." "What does any of this have to do with us?" the first voice inquired, its tone tinged with skepticism. "Nothing, except that he's an anomaly. That's what we need," the second voice asserted with a sense of finality.

I'm sorry but this is a very shallow understanding of what storytelling is about (in my opinion), if u think the concatenation of victories and plans are what make a story you are missing the point a little. Stories are about human connection, about feelings, about hardship, about the nature of being alive and in community with other people, despite the clear differences between one another we carry. People are not just their list of achievements and losses, they are their feelings, their history, their responses. I'm not trying to devalue what you feel or what you get out of media consumption, but there is so much more to like about stories, just because someone spoiled me something about the future i am not going to stop watching, and this is not a nobody, this is the author itself, he might be using this as a way of directing the narration of the books's plot. And besides, he is the main character, he was gonna survive anyways, this isn't to say he will survive unscathed or that people close to him won't suffer sometimes but you already knew he would survive the minor challenges of the story anyways, its not like he was going to die in the first combat

I don't think it's necessary since you are a very good writer, but it is a good practice. I can do it if you want and hopefully give some constructive commentary

Of course, if you think this isn't necessary, I understand too, it was just something that came to my mind as I wrote this chapter.

would it be racism or xenophobia? hmm, I guess both fit tbh

The Roan Kingdom had freedom of religion. Furthermore, it was a kingdom where all sorts or races from Tigers to Dark Elves were gathered together.

Althought I do have to point out that this traumatic response to their line of work is a little of an over reaction, don't misunderstand me, it's natural, but some people understand this different. After all, we have people whose whole career is taking care of people with different stages of cancer, as someone whose grandma had stage 3 cancer, her doctors were some of the most lovely and caring people I knew, and got her to live for 3 more years than expected. I'm not saying a traumatic response is bad or wrong, some doctors do have problems making connections with patients that have terminal illnesses, but it's at least not as spread in doctors (just an example) as with advisors in danmachi, advisors in this case seem to resemble more to war veterans than doctors, and maybe it's a cultural thing? we do think of their experience as fundamentally different even when some war veterans are doctors too

But there is no point in complaining, it would only be making fun of everything they suffered over the years, they deserve some form of respite, even if it's only going to send them further down into hell.

I mean, there are ways to talk about this kind of things without ignoring the other person's trauma, it can be hard depending on how bad the trauma is but it's not like they lost all sense of human connections and reason. It might be out of place to talk with the beast woman about it because they are not really that close but it's definitely doable I think

As good practice, if you ever leave a passed out person (or baby) try to put them to a side and with pillows on their back, so that If they vomit they don't choke on it, you might think it's stupid but a lot of people are just unconscious and don't wake up, please take care of your loved ones!

No no, I understand the society will judge you issue, in fact I agree, society is so bloodthirsty that even defending someone who has already been proven innocent might still get backlash. My issue was more with the last 3 questions: "are you supposed to clash against the collective will for someone you barely know? a criminal nonetheless? even if it's someone undeserving of death?" Accepting the violation of human rights or at least not protesting it, just because you don't know that person is morally wrong, at least in my opinion. Even more if you're in a position where doing the right thing would be pretty easy, not only he is powerful himself, but he also has good connections with other powerful people and piles of evidence of the whole Ishtar's familia wrongdoings
