I think this is a typo, and supposed to say depend instead of defend

I loved every bit, honestly wish it were longer. wish there was more contest about how the stone was created, and what happened to Mofran, was Lenny an actual vampire? is it supposed to be set in our world, where was the story set then? still worth the read, and maybe these points will be touched on in the other stories.
