the chain makes sense since there are quite a lot of ghost story revolving around chains like the ghost being tied to a bathroom or house or just a room or doll/toy and so on and normally they use Chand to depict the bond and how strong it is another example is like being chained to earth or being unable to leave because of something they have to do like unfinished business like finding they're child and singing their child's favorite or just one last lullaby or maybe getting revenge as in they can't let it go and it kind of just chains them down like that and and ties them to the revenge and/or person chains are stronger than rope and chains help emphasize how they are stuck and it's very hard to escape and I feel like change might be a symbolization of being stuck you know since they're so strong they're literally made out of metal TvT yeah but that's all
