I always found with stories like this, you can't be the same person without memories, so maybe there is the impression of those memories that remains, like manner and verbal ticks, without knowing where you have them

'Wait. Wait wait wait wait... Monsters? Mythical Creatures? What do you...? My past life didn't have any of that... That's not how my world was. I can remember at least that much...'

Just the way the characters act is so annoying and like a caricature of real people. And the author's way of narrating is infuriating to me and from what I saw many others.

.... Dude, you're the one wrong. The 3rd millennium is front 2001 to 3000 and 21st century from 2001 to 2100. I know it's a common misconception that it's from 00 but it's also pretty basic for all history class for you to know this.

Right on dot with the clock striking midnight and heralding not just a new year, but a new century and a new millennium.

Man, you know there is a thing called American accent? Which, btw, is separated even more in New Yorker accent, southerner accent, etc.

She ignored him for the rest of the flight. Lith was rambling nonsense, sometimes even speaking gibberish (AN: aka English).

    relatable including torture part

Derek started to conceive plan after plan to get rid of his father, even if it meant killing him. At night, he would devise elaborate and meticulous scenarios that often involved prolonged torture.

You think it mechanical. That way of thought with humans makes it illogical. It might seem illogical to torture if you don't think about the person doing the torture but once you do it makes sense. If something causes you pain it's a threat, if you cause it pain it's prey. torture makes one feel secure in a way.

Oh. It's just that there was the line about the colony doing it better and in my mind that also applied for you comment. Then yeah, you are right

The Colony truly didn't believe in outsourcing labour. The idea of having someone else grow the leaves and then purchasing them seemed almost alien to their insect minds. To be fair, labour wasn't exactly something they were short of, but she could only imagine how frustrating she would have found to deal with these monsters as a merchant. The second you found something they wanted to buy, you also created a competitor, because no sooner did they purchase it than they started trying to make or grow it! Two weeks later they would turn around and start selling your own merchandise back to you, and probably at a higher quality than you yourself had been able to obtain!

And industrious race. And scholar race. They basically are a jack of all trades race

Tons of rock are shifted and shaped every hour and even as I watch sturdy walls, ramparts, spiked embankments, pitfalls and more come into existence, every single inch of them hardened and baptized by the magic of the carvers. They've even gone so far as to prepare healing centres and resting chambers, peeled free of the Dungeon's veins through monumental effort, in order that the healers can work unimpeded. I know for a fact that this work is replicated throughout the Colony's territory, a vast sphere of walls and forts that will defend each and every tunnel that would provide access for the invading wave.

This story is as close it's getting to perfection on this site. The world is great. The writing is phenomenal and really funny and the characters are really well made. They are really are realistic and well-developed. I'm telling you now if you don't fall in love with at least one character you need to go to a psychiatrist cause that sure ain't normal.

I don't know how intentional this is but I love the realism. If people wonder what I mean. In real life when someone is knocked out they only remain like that for a max of 10 seconds. unless they have brain damage.

However, before he could finish infecting Noah with all his parasytes, a groan came from the man he had knocked out.

That would be blunt damage to which humans are surprisingly good at resisting. Getting thrown in a wall will hurt but not much major damage.

Why do you judge the author so much man? This the second comment where I see you being negative and making him forgetful. The affinities are unlocked in the shop. Anthony is now focusing in his 4 elemental and getting them to tier 5. Stop being annoying, will you?
