waaaaait, so the monster telling him to open his eyes wasnt actually a mosnter but the souls absorbed by the tree and cassie telling him to close his eyes was just the soul tree itself, and this happened in the dark only because the tree cant hide the souls properly or it might even also be a little weaker and/or because it not only is able to control other creatures by magical-chemical/chemical drugs but also because it posseses an intelligence of its own¿

as stated above the food we currently eat already comes from creatures posessing a form of intelligence but that also holds espeacially close to things such as ravens, crows and octopi since these creatures by neural density and in an octupose's case also brain number/size posess some aspects of intellect very close to that of a human and as far as what we saw from the demon's actions an octupose posess's far more intellect than it.

no, it's not indivuals that make up cruel systems it's just that superpowers created a system where it encoureged people to be cruel.

pretty stupid decision in my opinion, the frame studenets could have teamed up and made a basic formation where they had some level of defensive advantige. but ok

amazing world building though i was disappointed you used the term villians and heroes since humans are more complex than that so could have said it in a way that isn't very essentialist, like most people who do very bad things don't usaully say "heh, long live our clan 'the evil fighters' now lets commit some evil acts!"

thank god, someone finally adressed the problem that superpowers destroy all abstract structures/intutes and the only a govermental structure can exist is by it bieng formed by the most powerful people who are in that world or loosely connected by people who are still the strongest and alot of warlords which they would still have a lot of limitations

40 million is still a big number imp imagine if it happend in our world where we lost the labor of 40 million people and we needed to connect thier bodies to very expensive machines that require alot of effort to make and mantain so they can stay alive, that would hurt the economy and the social structures of our society bc you know 40 million people some of them you know are asleep, possibly forever.

doesn't this mean that the people that need life support died including those 40 million?

i haven't started reading yet but after reading the synposis i am afraid this will turn out to be one of those martial arts(with too much crappy fanservice) power fantasies where if somone sneezes on the other side of the planet the mc will wipe out all thier bloodline and get an upgrade to his plot armor while doing so, and i also hope where it's not one of those magic/superpower societies where there is a ton of systemic issues and the solution will be to master the power of friendship or wear a dark cloak instead of destroying the source of power, taking the powers of everyone, killing an alien/god that makes the monsters or other creative solutions of course i hope the solutions will have reasonable political dynamics and not the "don't make fixing the social/economic/political systems of the entire world (maybe the entire multiverse) political" path that alot of stories that say they take themselves seriously take. but nontheless thanks for the hard work i understand that writing novels is very hard but i am just sick of the huge amount of poor quality content spoon fed to the reader.
