It's too much of a headache to think about the philosophy or conundrum behind the fact that he was just some character in somebody's story. He had enough in his stats to give him a really fast regeneration, plus he was a vampire so rapid healing was a part of the racial package. As for weapons, I had the sword [Lightning Cloud] given to me by blue beard which I made a sheath for but I still made a spare light one ,as it was quite hard to handle the special blade with my current physical stats.
