Ves should allow Joshua to use the death wave attack from the start so the dwarves to demoralised them. Imagine an entire crew of one of your ships just die in an instant without their ship getting even a single scratch. I think that's pretty demoralising.

The one thing Master Willix doesn't know is the fact that Ves' most viable way of raising expert pilots have a high mortality rate due to head explosion

I love how Ves is more concerned about him getting deductions to his potential merits than the fact that he is tasked to literally raise a few expert pilots considering how hard it is for mech pilots to even advance to expert candidate.
