I like angst and well-written characters. And sweets. Lots and lots of sweets.

They know Amon from when Mr. Fool “used” Mr. World to engage with him in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, I think.
Nobody remembers the existence of the missing people, so there’s not even a way to tell how often these incidents happen… scary. Reminds me of that memory-eating whale from ReZero.
Seems like everything is keeping each other in check in a veeery delicate balance…
YESSSS!
What an entrance!!!
The end of the volume is soon approaching… PLEASE give Jenna a break, oh my god.
Sigh… these poor siblings didn’t deserve any of this. I feel so bad for them. I get why Elodie did what she did, and in a way it was selfless, but leaving your kids all alone like this when they needed you the most is cruel, too. There’s just no good answer. I’m also nervous about the dark path Lumian seems to be leading Jenna down. I do think he’s trying to help in his own way - his mentality is just twisted. (That and her wanting revenge against his enemies gets him a guaranteed ally.) But I really don’t want Jenna to lose her kindness. I want to see the journey of the kind female demoness who breaks all the strereotypes of her pathway! Oh, Jenna. Please stay strong and become happy :(
WHAAA-
Just admit you’re worried about your friend, Lumian!
Wait, actually, does LUMIAN know that the organization he’s in is the Aurora Order? He doesn’t know, right? That explains his attitude towards the newspaper.
Ah, I missed this! The Aurora Order taking the blame for literally everything!
Awww, good for you, Charlie!!!
I love their friendship!! Lumian has a soft spot for Charlie but won’t admit it.
Dang, this hurts. While Lumian isn’t a totally unkind person, it’s rare that he acts with such a lack of ulterior motives, just to help someone. And the one time he does, this happens… it’s tragic. I hope he doesn’ take it to heart and decide to stop helping people.
This makes me miss Creeping Hunger and Arrodes…
Dang. Loyal til the end.
Thanks for the chapter! That title doesn’t bode well.
Rest in peace.
I’d say this is cruel, but Lumian did specifically make sure that the tramp had no family left - no collateral damage here. It still feels vicious, but at least he’s taking precautions to hurt as few people as possible.
Lumian is ruthless and crazy, but he’s much kinder than he’d ever admit. He reminds me of Gehrman Sparrow in some ways.
