This story is a great adventure. The author's strong command of English (unlike most on this platform) along with a beautifully crafted world make this one of my favorite reads.Unfortunately, there is one thing that has left me disappointed... There is no romance! If there was any romance at all, the story could have been so much better! A little more tension between the leads with a few embarrassing moments and some very occasional slice of life fluff between the lead's harrowing adventures would have made this my favorite story of all time. It would have added another dynamic that could play out so interestingly. One scene is particular (ch. 806 I think?) could have been so much better!Granted, I am extremely biased towards the romance genre. In my ideal world, every single story should have a romantic subplot.Mostly, my disappointment comes from the story have a romance tag (and no romance after 800 chapters). I hope so!Regardless, this is an extremely personal take. Author, great job. You have written a great story.

It's better not to spread misinformation of historical figures. Though Joan of Arc didn't fight enemies in battle, she had an active role in the battles and was wounded multiple times in battle. She also wasn't executed for wearing men's clothes. It was a political execution by the English for an advantage against the French. She was reported to have worn men's clothing in prison since it made it easier to fend off being raped by the soldiers.

Great story. Like others have said, massive improvements over the course of the story. The way characters act is very realistic. Other authors on this site will have characters act in ways that don't make any sense and it completely ruins the immersion. I haven't experienced that in this book. There are certainly times that I question a character's actions, but after reading further or thinking about it more, I find that those actions I questioned are actually plausible or there was a reason that wasn't yet revealed. The author mentions in the footnotes a few times that people have complained about filler, but I have never once felt there was filler. I hope the author doesn't listen to those people anymore. So far, the story is only getting better and I trust the author. My only criticism is the occasional english mistake. [MINOR SPOILERS] PS: The solar meet thing was some of the most fun reading I've had. Very creative and very cool. The outcome of the "extra prize" was very wholesome. Loved it. PPS: If the protagonist doesn't end up with both of them, I will be very sad. Happy endings are the best endings.

It's pretty clear the author doesn't understand how people act. Over ninety percent of characters act like deranged psychopaths, even ordinary civilians. The protagonist is also ridiculous. He is, by far, the most evil and crazy protagonist I've seen.

I didn't drop the novel. I stand by what I said but the story (ignoring the scorpion) is one of the best I've read.

Sorry, must be jarring to read that as the author. I just don't like the scorpion but it's a personal thing. Otherwise, I love the novel and it's somewhere on my top 5 on webnovel!

What a shame, the story was going so well but this somewhat ruins it. With Artemis, there was some emotion behind the soulbond and it felt fated. Also, white owls can be cute and make sense for a companion. But this one, not only is a scorpion unappealing, but it's weak and the reason for the soulbond seems immoral. Even if he can form as many soulbonds as he wants, it makes no sense for the protagonist of a story. You want every bond to feel meaningful and have emotion behind it. I'll keep reading a bit more but I might drop the novel.

Overall, not a bad novel. There is a little bit of NTR but it's not excessive. Personally, it was too much for my tastes. Writing, characters, and setting are all quite good. Some decisions about the characters are very questionable.
