Again, this story is totally worth every second you spend reading it. At least, it has been for me, and I’m caught up to what’s been uploaded.

I mean, he does make allies, but for the most part he is always the enemy to SOMEONE or some group. There are some parts where he does slow down and chill out, and that comes with some realization on what to do next. But if you pay attention to the character, you’ll know that there is some form of opposition eventually.

I’ve read every chapter up until now, and I wasn’t expecting to hit the end of what was uploaded. This story completely enraptured me, and I actually got sad when I couldn’t read more instantly.

Eventually it does get to the point that the wives can help themselves, and help Dyon as well. It just takes some time. I think that the story is definitely worth the read. Even if it takes a bit of time.

Is it waste? I'm seeing it as this group sparing no expense. The words of the eldest must be upheld, and they are taking the precautions so members of this order are not found. Their entire point to the plot seems to enforce the fact that too much of a good thing is wasteful. They themselves (as seen in the end, as the nameless acolyte we have watched mentioned having so much work but ONLY having sixteen hours in the day) don't enjoy sleep as much as others, but they enforce this, as it is mandated. I can't see anything they are doing as wasteful, as though the resources could be used in other castes of the colony, this would give members even MORE of a reason to not follow the rules of torpor. So using the resources in the way they have, it isn't wasteful because they are using them to make sure people don't get sloppy in their work. At least, that is my views on the allocation of resources to the cult of torpor.

This novel is really good. It had me hooked from chapter one, and I’m excited to continue reading. Roland is a great MC, the storytelling is beautiful, and worldbuilding is fun to read and learn about. The interactions between characters just feels good to read about. 10/10 would recommend!
