I mean it as an example of it would essentially just be people creating energy bodies that work as both offense and defense, which would quite literally ruin the one piece universe. I mean, I get the idea, but the thought of a universe like one piece having the ability to utilize a type of energy at end game makes the last couple of years of power building seem lazy, frankly speaking. Oda's power system isn't over complicated, but it isn't extremely simple, which is what gives it it's charm. look at all pieces of entertainment that introduced energy manipulation in any sense as a power system (even if late game), and it always turns into something boring to watch. imagine waiting decades and seeing Luffy progress through all types of challenges and using different applications for his fruit, and then at the end, he abandons all and just uses an ethereal body to fight.
