I do think this is an adaptive change however I think if u Integrated future and past it could be even better!

I think making him the emperors teacher could be interesting!
Also since it seems to fit, I took some time to check out Warhammer 40k just a smidge. And I can see the MC going there, but there is just so much lore. Like for real, I spent like hours getting to know some things and still don't know anything. So a good story would probably be impossible, but I could see him become a Grey Knight or even a Librarian Astartes .... who knows? - KingKalamity1mthCommented
