The writing quality, update stability, and character design are all pretty good. The only thing I have to comment about is the world. I really have no idea what it’s like so far. The only info I have is that there are sects, a protagonist, and there was a spar on a mountain that created a sword lotus. The concept of the story is great though. And I might be wrong but the fact that he sees things pop up in comic format as information is interesting. At least, that’s what I imagine while reading it. As of 27 chapters in I definitely recomend.
Now this is just false man. A light kick is just a kick with less force put into it. Why would you change your form?
I mean… For a dude obsessed with martial arts that’s one bitter pill. Tbh I’m just gunna pretend that it’s just the author not knowing any martial arts. You don’t need formal training to understand Jujitsu or Grappling. It’s all about knowing different locks per situation and having good physical fitness. While boxing really comes down to talent, hard work, and a good coach. Not to mention, this was literally the only thing going for him. It’s a fantasy novel, you already clarified that the mc is talentless. You would assume after studying theoretical martial arts he would know some actual techniques (not saying he would be proficient but even a layman like me could name most moves used in the UFC). But to suddenly read about how he does some physics in the matter of seconds with no measurements and magically he can balance and dodge slimes is a hard pill to swallow. And at this point I’m starting to feel like the story is gunna be about characters muttering things like “heavenly tiger claw” or “divine cloud step”. Then a clash and some description about how powerful the shockwave was. I know it’s jumping the gun a bit, but seriously, where can I find a novel with some real martial art representation? I’ve legit read dozens of novels about martial arts, and not a single one represents earth martial arts.
I hope her and her brother arent members of Zahhak.
The sheep kind
Thanks for bringing me a smile. Nothing like knowing there is a bigger moron than yourself.
Well, I don’t know about fan theory’s and stuff. But from what I know, the reason Harry is left with the Dursleys is because the only other options is the Malfoys and Serius Black because of the weird blood protection law wizards have. Meaning that a child must go to a reletive (reletive by blood or law) if the parents pass. This is why Harry is left there even after the Dursleys showed signs of being affected by the horcruces (idk if I spelt that right). Not cause Dumbuldor is some crazy dude playing chess. And while I do find him manipulative, like come on. Yes, he will read your mind, yes, he will include you in his plans cause he’s 116, and yes, he will question slytherians cause they have history. You know? Voldamort. He’s not some evil character, just a good guy that doesnt mind using morally grey means.
So the fanfiction is definitely different than the usuall. In a good way. I'm only on chapter 9 currently, but it has a pretty good start. A bit slow, but it all kinda comes together. If there's one thing to comment on, it's azula. I don't her father would go that far in her punishment. She's pretty much the reason why he was made to be crown prince. As his brother lost his child at war. Zuko, while could be a replacement, has already been established as the failure by his father. So I’m curious how that plays out. Will he call back Azula for coronation, will zuko just be the new azula? Or will they both be banished.
Respect. I hate how everyone hates on aang cause he doesn't kill the fire lord or because he acts like a kid. That's legit the second best part of the show right after the zuko and azula fight. And he is literally a kid. Plus, how can you not respect the fact that he won't go against his morals. Something most will do for any amount of money nowadays.
Dude, grow up. Just cause one man likes an*l doesnt mean another needs to like it. Especially if there are no warnings at the beginning of the novel. No one likes being dragged around for 50 chapters just to find out the author may be hinting that the main character could have a different preference than yourself, meaning that character will describe his preference throughout the story. If your not of that preference, it gets uncomfortable incredibly fast. And before you start throwing words like homophob, I’m pointing this out because your demonizing a comment over an ‘Eew’. You can say I have low tolerance, but really? An Eew?
That would have been dope. Not a lot of horror fanfiction
If he lives in America he should be fine. If someone pulls a knife on you it is actually legal to kill in self defense. Not to mention the fact that it’s not his knife and the teen stabbed himself in the scuffle. The other teens who ran would most likely be charged as well for a misdemeanor.
True but tbh, it gunna be boring real fast when he just starts making himself a litteral god. I’ve read to many fanfics like that and the result every time is the author dropping because even they get bored writing something like that. If the fanfic was comedy based I would agree but since it’s fighting oriented, the moment he can do literally any justsu and uses every kekkei genkai the author won’t be able to keep up. There will be no enemy to give him a challenge nor obstical he can’t overcome within seconds. Not to mention the mc is already a bit to overpowered. Low key im starting to worry about the pacing as after only a couple of years( if even that) he somehow knows almost everything about the human body. What is he going to work towards in the future? Will there be anything he can strive for? What challenges will there be for him when he’s already this op? Once a fanfic reaches that point the whole plot usually ends up revolving around who he wants to kill and save in seconds, then a brief description on why. Don’t believe me? Just look up naruto fanfics and give a read to the unfinished dripped ones.
