Thank you so much for this! I really needed this! First let me say I apologize to you and any readers who did not like what happened here, my job is obviously to make you guys happy, and maybe with the right direction I can change this scene. But let me atleast explain the reasoning behind this The moral of this entire story isn't based around MC's love affairs or his Harem, I apologize to readers if this is what they want but that is not the driving for behind this scene or the story. This Chapter was about two things. The first was Prince spilling his heart out to someone for the first time, and him feeling the love that is burried in his heart, and the second is the burning fuel of revenge that has tainted his soul. I wrote this chapter to show how ugly Prince really is, and how he is willing to sacrifice how he feels to obtain his goal, and I wanted this character Marlin to adopt his ways. This Chapter is the transition chapter for Marlins character ark, where he starts to become more like Prince. After hearing your thoughts, I think that is the problem with the chapter. Everyone was invested in Prince and Meri, and he just tosses her to the side for some cuck. But I did this purposefully, to show how ugly people become when they are hurt. Prince is hurt by his inability to really open up to people about who he truly is, and Meri is hurt by Prince's rejection, and in those moments they become ugly, a theme that will soon carry to Marlin. I will see if I can improve this chapter however, I understand now how the reader feels thank you! And if you have any additional thoughts please feel free to post them!
