The simplest way to describe them is the soldiers of Alaya, the will of humanity to survive. They act as the worlds defense mechanism, if something shows up that threatens humanity, they are dispatched to deal with it. Something relevant is that as counter guardians they have no will of their own, they just carry out Alayna’s will unquestioningly, which is what makes Artoria’s deal so costly. It’s a lot more convoluted than that, but that’s the basic gist of it
Kotomine called Semiramis Assassin right in front of him when she had Sir Wiggles though?
Avalon has passive healing abilities, but she is referring to its active ability which is a shield powerful enough to block Enuma Elish
I feel like Holy Light of Alfhiem or a primordial rune or balance breaker would have all ended the fight pretty quickly as well without using a thrice per millenium ability
Saber is a special case, if I remember correctly, she made a deal right before she died to become a heroic spirit and fight in grail wars in order to use the grail to change the past and have never become king, in exchange, once she got her wish she would become a Counter Guardian
What about Siegfried, he has anti-dragon stuff doesn’t he?

I’m a bit confused as to where we are in the timeline. It seems like before the start of the events of arcane because Jayce is still working on hextech in secret, but then we already have hextech gemstones, and the undercity is already being called Zaun and is said to have Chem-Barons.
I’m pretty sure this means that one of the sins is in control, but Quinn hasn’t been acting up.
Come to think of it. Is there a reason Quinn didn’t just apparate to the exit of the third room in the Architect’s Vault?
The good, the bad, and the ugly
You make a compelling argument
I cant help but imagine them as Vaal Hazak
