If I recall correctly, he hasn't slept in almost 2 days.

"You looked like you haven't slept all night," Delgado observed, looking at Michael from top to bottom.

A lot of people don't seem to like Catherine, but I am sure this is one of her roles. Her parents are much wealthier compared to the MC. So, they should have enough capital to invest in him, albeit with some convincing on Catherine's part.

There are a lot of ways to get funds from. Like attracting investors and loaning from the banks. But investors are not going to invest in someone like him and definitely, the bank won't loan him money as he is still a college student and doesn't have anything for collateral. It seemed like a catch-22 situation. The very venture that could make him money required substantial capital to start with.

I bet (I hope) his mind couldn't take the pain it was receiving and had him killed.

    {You’re in my hall of healing in the simulation. You’ve been in a coma for a bit more than two weeks as you underwent an evolution that reconstructed you inside and out,} the kind woman explained. {You collapsed and were brought to the cube in Athens for emergency treatment, and what you experienced just now was the awakening of your physical body. The evolution process is incredibly painful, but luckily you were unconscious in one of my medical pods until the very last few moments of it, so only a little bit of it bled through to here.}

nope. Mach 5 (5x speed of sound) would be classified as Hypersonic (about 4,000 mph and above). Granted, I admit I was wrong on some points. Supersonic is about Mach 1.2 and higher (+900 mph). Transonic is actually the 'through' phase. Basically, it's a door, going from Sub (opening door on one side) to Super (closing door on other side) around Mach 0.8 to 1.2 (600-900mph). Subsonic is Mach 0 to 0.8. Source: Google.

This flexibility enables the engine to efficiently handle various flight regimes, including subsonic, transonic, and supersonic speeds.

If they kill him than people may see him as a Martyr and it will only spread further. I see this is a "They're gonna kill me because they know that I'm right" type of thing.

It would not be long before this Heresy in which the church had officially deemed the Berengar Heresy spread to every corner of the German world. At that time, the church would lose significant power, and as such, they were willing to give up such a huge chunk of land to get rid of Berengar as quickly as possible. After all, they did not want the Teutonic Knights to have to face Count Lothar's forces nor did they wish to engage in an entire crusade just to put down this growing heresy.

well now I know that he doing so that they can make their own interpretation of it since the Church tells them it's own version. But I thought (well hoped) he would go the 40K route and eradicate the Church (and religion) as a whole instead of just making them submit to the laws of man. That's why it seemed counterproductive to me.

"Horrific Things for Terrific Reasons." --The Fat Electrician.

However, what Gisela did not know is that Berengar truly did have a wicked and ruthless nature. However, he reserved it entirely for his enemies, and at this point, the Catholic Church had become his enemy. By conspiring against him, Berengar viewed them as a threat to his existence and would not rest until their stranglehold over the German people and the lands they inhabited was fully liberated. He was willing to do great evil to achieve these goals.

Time to show the heretics that the Machine is all powerful!

Berengar felt embarrassed as she strutted out of his room but had too much work to do. As such, he got back to his paperwork. Hopefully, he could finish it by dinner time. At this point, his greatest concern was the arrival of the Inquisition, who would be within Kufstein in a matter of days. If he could not settle things peacefully with the Chruch's emissaries, there was only one solution.... War!

Why give them a bible? I thought his plan was to eradicate their power so they have no say in Secular Authority. So, giving the people bibles seems a little counter productive to me.

Personally? Don't reform it. Destroy it entirely. Only the Machine Spirit shall worshipped.

These words by the priest of Kufstein ultimately convinced Ludolf that the Church needed to be reformed. However, he stood there in silence, simply nodding his head at the priest's words. For now, he would have to warn Berengar of the danger that lies ahead. Ludolf would one day come to realize that this one decision by the authorities of the Church would cause Berengar to view the Papacy as the greatest obstacle in his rise to power and would cause endless bloodshed in the struggle for secular authority.

Worse yet, Lambert was now aware that rumors were spreading of Berengar's divine powers to see the future and that the inventions he had implemented were gifts from God to the people of Germany that would lead them into a new era.

He hasn't made the steam engine yet right? He made efficient steel so why didn't he go for the steam engine? The mines would be able to produce more ore with it right? I remember Minecarts being mentioned but there only so much those can help with.

The machinery used to produce equipment was all water-powered. Wherever necessary assembly lines were in place to make the creation process smoother. As such, it was quite the operation; Berengar figured there was no city on the planet with such an advanced industrial sector. The best part is that it was growing by the day.

People back then most have thought it was fashionable but from 21st century Soldier perspective (The MC) they should've been hideous to him. Also, didn't the MC say that he would never develop his father's flamboyant styles and yet here he is, doing just that? Only reason I can fathom the Author making such a choice was so that he could subconsciously blend in.

He had gained quite the eye for fashion ever since he was transmigrated into this world and was surrounded by luxuries. As such, the attire of his peasant militia was that of the Landsknecht, which were elite mercenaries of the 16th-century battlefields from Berengar's previous life. Their clothing was honestly quite flamboyant, but it looked fantastic from Berengar's perspective.

"If you treat your men like your own beloved sons then they'll follow you to the deepest valley." Other than Irons from CoD: A.W, I don't know where this line comes from.

He looked upon his forces as if they were his own beloved sons, knowing that as long as he did so they would stand by him even unto death. By the time the King had passed and the Kingdom of Germany descended into absolute warfare, he would have an army capable of defending his borders from any threat.

The US isn't even 200 years old so how do they have 1,000 year long history?

A bank with more than a thousand years of accumulated history, built by the elites among the western settlers of the United States, would not readily accept Future Tech's discourtesy.

I know your comment is a year old but I feel the to point out that the MC doesn't know Anarchy's scale. He knows they exist but he doesn't know how to handle them because he didn't know about them in 2021 and as far as he knows Anarchy is just a room full of hard to find Old Black Hats and not a massive underground network similar to that of the CIA or The SCP Foundation. P.S. Sometimes the best Victories come from those who were beaten into the dirt and simply stood back up and won.

Cataphract? As in the KG-6 Sleipnier and KG-7 Arion from the Ald.Noah Zero anime? That's where I recognize this at least.

"That's what you say. Now focus and turn on augmented reality mode. You should see an encrypted file if you pull up the context menu. The password is Cataphract. Heidi instructed.
