Yang Kai is the MC of the original series "Martial Peak". And my character is the son created out of numerous chances coming together all at once. (I wanted the scene with Yang Kai and Su Yan all the way back towards the beginning of the Original Series, to finally come to fruition. It was the scene during the inheritance war arc where Su Yan mentioned the ginseng felt like a child to her. And then Yang Kai said "Do you want a child") I have had quite a lot of fun writing this fan fiction far more than the other ones I've written.

Thanks for taking time to write a review. However, while I do appreciate feedback, it would be nice if I could tell that the commenter had read the synopsis of the book they are reviewing. Perhaps it was missed? Ignored? Or something else, I don't know. But: "Follow Lei Jin's story as he grows into a great man. " This clearly states that the story will follow Lei Jin. As he literally fixes all the problems within the series. I don't know how far you read into the series. But I sincerely hope you read far enough to warrant a review while also not far enough to realize that the story doesn't just interact with OC's ALL the time. My Series was originally meant as a method to convey ideas about fixing plot holes and adding lore that was sorely lacking within the main series. While also saving Yang Kai some BS. He already had enough of it as it is. So I took the creative liberty to give him what he should have had ever since the Inheritance war arc. A child with the woman he loves. Perhaps this story wasn't for you. And that is okay. It's a shame, but... It's alright. Not everyone is going to like the same stuff. But, don't go telling others what they read fanfiction for. Not everyone reads it for the same reasons. And not everyone writes it for the same reasons. Hopefully, you find something you enjoy.

The word "sanity" is used in an uncommon way here. I used it to explain the difference between un-inked and inked. Then there is also the intensity of breaking through to the 9th rank directly. I figured having tethers to keep one focused in the toughest of times would be quite nice.

Then you're gonna love what happens... OP done right is when the OP Character is truly, OP. I make sure that this happens... And I do take creative liberties with the series as there are several things that should have been adjusted from the Original Series anyway.

I made it so that the 9th rank elements are known about. And do exist. They are just extremely rare. On top of that, only those who have the ability to refine them even have the ability to sense their location. With only one entity being an exception to this rule.

He gets much stronger than that, through a different method.

I used the name "Smiles" here because it was easier. Also I fail to see the problem. If there is a nameless girl, always smiling, That nickname would very quickly be assigned anyways. Aside from this, everything can be explained away as part of the plan between the two Old Ancestors that set their meting in motion in the first place. Furthermore, everyone who would read this, knows the character as Smiles, anyways.

they kinda go hand in hand. men are taught to be domineering and strong. women are taught to find the most capable man that woos them. a strong companion to keep them safe. there are, of course, outliers to this, but... this is the general rule of thumb for the upbringing in a martial world.

I'm not exactly sure what persecution you're talking about here... yang Kai isn't the main character in this series. However, he isn't ignored. In fact, I make him magnitudes stronger than he was in the series, I specifically got rid of all the BS Nerfs, the original series author had forced onto Yang Kai. If you have a problem with an OC being in a position where he must deal with the original series problems, especially the powerscaling... Then my series isn't for you. But try to understand that it's not persecution. I have actually made an active effort to rectify the actual persecution Yang Kai had dealt with in the original series.
